The Demonstration Kitchen is a special part of the Village Center at CantaMia, and is home to myriad cooking classes, with guest professional chefs as well as for residents to share their favorite recipes and meal ideas! Cooking is a great way to meet new friends, learn some new and healthy changes in food preparations, and follow a creative passion. If you have an interest in cooking, learning the basics or learning new recipes, the demonstration kitchen will quickly become your new best friend.

The 19,840 acre Estrella Mountain Regional Park is right at CantaMia’s doorstep. Located near the meeting point of the Gila and Agua Fria Rivers, the regional park includes a large wetland, or riparian, area. The majority of the park remains pristine desert, very similar in appearance to the landscape seen by the very first settlers and explorers. The Sierra Estrella range, also known as the Star Mountains, was once within the Mexican border, and remained so until the Gadsden Purchase in 1853. Today, many amenities are available to visitors, including over 33 miles of trails, including competitive loops for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The park also includes picnic areas, baseball fields, fishing, rodeo arena, and star gazing. With CantaMia at the foothills of the Estrella Mountains, homeowners can enjoy all that the wonderful regional park has to offer.
The Phoenix metropolitan area is home to more than 300 golf courses, including many in the west valley. The two closest golf courses to CantaMia include: Golf Club of Estrella: Crafted by Nicklaus Design, with Jack Nicklaus II as the primary designer and located within the master-planned community of Estrella, this par 72, 7,139-yard layout features undulating fairways and elevated tee areas that traverse the natural contours of the desert terrain. Managed by Troon Golf, the Golf Club of Estrella has earned numerous national distinctions, including one of America’s Best Golf Courses in 2011 by GolfWeek. The course offers annual memberships, daily play, instruction, restaurant, and banquet facilities. Tres Rios Golf Course at Estrella Mountain Park: Designed by renowned golf course architect Red Lawrence, it is one of the most serene golf courses in the valley. The layout is abundant with trees and shade, natural wildlife, without the distractions of homes and traffic. This traditional par 71-championship parkland style golf course first opened in 1962 and was totally renovated in 1998.

The Goodyear Ball Park is just up the road from CantaMia and home to the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians baseball teams.
