More than 450 Vitalia residents and Port St. Lucie locals joined AV Homes and city officials for the ribbon cutting of the resident amenity center, the Captiva Club. As the first glimpse of this 24,000-square-foot amenity center which is set to open July 1st, this event had folks lining up to make their way into this amazing facility. This was a proud moment as AV Homes was able to fulfill a promise made to Vitalia residents to build this state-of-the-art amenity center.
The afternoon was filled with excitement as residents and visitors toured this stunning clubhouse during the first official open house. Residents had a change to meet their crew as Captiva Club members mingled with the crowd, giving away first-edition Captiva Club shirts! The demonstration kitchen even came with a personal chef whipping up a worldly Asian-inspired appetizer and sharing some secrets of the trade. Everyone had a sweet spot for the dessert bar with a delicious spread of Captiva cannolis, cream puffs and cookies from local St. Lucie Bakery.
This resort-style clubhouse was designed to be a catchall recreation center and the center of Vitalia life. Featuring a fitness center and an aerobics studio with modern Fitness On Demand Technology, the Captiva Club was built to complement the active lifestyle that our residents seek. Outdoor recreation by the numbers includes eight pickleball courts, five tennis courts, two bocce courts, and a coming-soon putting green plus a resort-style swimming pool, lakeside pavillion and event lawn with firepits. Host to year-round special events and social opportunities, the Captiva Club marks the beginning of a new chapter for Vitalia residents.
