Having resided in Solivita for six years with my wife Chris, I would say the number one reason that we love our life here is the people! We now have a circle of friends far more extensive than we had developed over 21 years in our former home state of Connecticut. I think there’s something about living in a warm, beautiful paradise that makes people happier and friendlier. Our large group of friends is so caring and generous. We know that they would do anything for us, just as they know we would do anything for them. Also contributing to the ease of building new relationships is the myriad of opportunities for social interaction here in Solivita. From the many clubs and organizations, to the award-winning amenities and events within Solivita Lifestyles, to the world-class attractions nearby in Orlando, there is just so much to do together. Whether it’s having a cup of coffee in the morning, a glass of wine before a show in the Ballroom, or enjoying Epcot or SeaWorld, it’s so great to keep up with our friends and their families.
Solivita Community in Florida AV Homes Blog- For me, another extremely important aspect of living here at Solivita is the chance for volunteerism, and to give back to the community in reciprocation for all the good fortune I’ve been blessed with. I’ve been extremely active in the Veterans Club of Solivita, having served as Commander of the Club in 2010. I’m also a member of the VCS Honor Guard, and am beginning a three year term as a Director of our Scholarship Foundation on June 1, 2011. We award scholarships to deserving high school seniors graduating from Jr. ROTC programs at local high schools. In a nutshell, the Veterans Club of Solivita provides support to our servicemen and women, past, present and future. In addition, I’m an active Solivita Lifestyles volunteer, having attained the ‘Caring Hearts’ designation by performing 125 hours of volunteer work in the past year. Also, I’ve been selected to the 2011-2012 Polk County Sheriff’s Advisory Council. Our Council will work as a citizen’s advisory group for Sheriff Grady Judd.
In conclusion, it is really difficult to limit a discussion of everything that’s wonderful about Solivita to just a few words. As you can tell, I truly love the happy, healthy, fulfilling and FUN lifestyle that we have right here in Solivita.
